BART Redesign

In this project, we set out to do a total redesign of the user interface of the BART kiosks. Our primary goals were to make the system more inclusive to a range of users and to simplify the experience of using BART for a new traveler.

ABOUT
This was a design research and UI design oriented project from the Introduction to Interaction Design class taught by Cristina Gaitan at CCA. I wanted to create a resource for people who are interested in rocket launches or live near a launchpad and want to be aware of the schedule. I was inspired to do this because I grew up living near one, and it sucks to be unexpectedly awoken in the middle of the night to a *BOOM* and the whole house shaking.
I conducted secondary research as well as competitive analyses of other apps and websites that offer similar services. Most importantly, I did an expert interview with a mission flight control officer from Vandenberg Air Force Base to learn more about what the app realistically can and cannot do (in terms of the information that it displays).

Chatter
ABOUT
This was my final project for a CCA course called Girl Culture. I designed mobile app screens and an accompanying advertisement for a platform called Chatter, a place for girls to talk about girl-centric issues and topics.
